Company Update: A New Chapter for Allegra

Big changes have shaped the future of our company over the past year.

In November 2023, we announced a major shift: changing our name from Allegra Orthopaedics Limited to Allegra Medical Technologies Limited (ASX: AMT). This reflected a deliberate strategy to expand our focus beyond orthopaedics and into a broader scope of medical technologies.

In 2024, Allegra Innovations Pty Ltd successfully completed a takeover of Allegra Medical Technologies. As a result, on 14 November 2024, Allegra Medical Technologies Limited was officially delisted from the Australian Securities Exchange.

This move from public to private ownership marks a turning point. As a private company, we are better positioned to operate with agility, focus and resilience. We can respond faster to industry changes, pursue bold innovation and invest with greater flexibility. It also allows us to work more closely with a committed group of stakeholders who share our long-term vision.

Today, Allegra Medical Technologies Pty Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Allegra Innovations Pty Ltd. It is the engine room of our innovation and product development, where we are focused on bringing advanced medical technologies to market.

At the heart of our current development efforts is the commercialisation of our proprietary bioceramic material, Sr-HT-Gahnite, developed in partnership with the University of Sydney and owned exclusively by Allegra. This calcium silicate-based material has a wide range of potential uses. The most advanced application is our 3D-printed Sr-HT-Gahnite cervical spinal cage, Tellus Plus, designed to support better outcomes in spinal fusion surgery.

As we look ahead, Sr-HT-Gahnite is just one example of how we’re driving innovation in medical devices. We remain committed to advancing a broader pipeline of technologies that improve patient outcomes and deliver meaningful solutions to the healthcare sector.
