Dr Nick Hartnell is an orthopaedic surgeon with over 20 years’ experience in bone and joint care. His clinical interests include lower limb joint replacement, fracture management and joint preservation. He provides comprehensive surgical and non-surgical care for both adults and children. Dr Hartnell completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Sydney University. He has worked in several hospitals throughout Australia and overseas.

Dr Hartnell has a strong interest in advancing innovative medical solutions to improve patient outcomes. He has held board and advisory positions across several companies, including an ASX-listed firm, and brings a sound understanding of corporate finance, capital raising and investment structures.

Through his involvement as a key shareholder and lead investor in several innovative medical companies, Dr Hartnell has developed extensive insight into the international medical landscape. His experience spans clinical and commercial drivers, regulatory approvals, research and development, corporate governance, and fundraising.

Dr Hartnell is also a cornerstone investor and board member of both Allegra Innovations and Ginan Biomedics.

Jenny Swain was appointed Allegra’s first female CEO in May 2016 and brings over 20 years of experience in orthopaedic sales, strategy and product development, alongside expertise in regulatory and supplier management.

Prior to becoming CEO, Jenny held senior national sales and management roles across both small and large medical device companies, beginning her orthopaedic career with J&J in 1996.

Jenny also spent 15 years as a Registered Nurse, gaining clinical experience in Australia and overseas, including five years as Orthopaedics Unit Manager at Century City Hospital in Los Angeles. Her clinical background has enabled her to build strong relationships with surgeons and healthcare professionals both locally and internationally.

Vincent is a CPA qualified finance professional with over 10 years of experience in accounting, finance and operational roles. He joined Allegra in 2016, became Finance Manager in 2017, and shortly after moving into the role of CFO.

Vincent holds a Bachelor of Business degree from the President University in Jakarta. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in International Finance, both from Deakin University in Melbourne.
